IGMATEX Fair made Successful Debut at Ahmedabad Received Sensational Response

No Img Featuring participation of nearly 50 exhibitors, IGMATEX – a great trade show on textile and garment making machinery/technology – made another successful debut at Ahmedabad (Gujarat – India) during 17 – 19 April 2010, after hosting similar shows at Indian cities, such as Indore, Kanpur and Jaipur.

Over 2300 trade visitors from various cities of Gujarat and nearby States visited the show. Some 70 % of the visitors came from Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat and other cities of Gujarat, while the rest from other Indian cities/States. The trade visitorship comprised mainly textile/garment manufacturers/exporters, fashion import houses and students of fashion schools.

Inaugurating the show, Gujarat Garment Manufacturers Association President Vijay Purohit, who came along with over 40 other entrepreneur-members of the Association, said, “We are delighted that the strong debut of the show at Ahmedabad validates our decision to support it. In today’s difficult economic market, it is even more critical for businesses to consolidate resources and make technological advancements so as to achieve higher productivity and cost efficiency and we hope that we have helped our industry members to avail the opportunity thrown open by Igmatex organizers through this show.”

Despite the current global economic challenges and consequent slowdown, the textile/garment machinery makers/suppliers and visiting textile and garment manufacturers looked equally confident of the long-term prospects of the textile industry in India.

Looking at the response, the organizers, as Rajesh Sinha and Manoj Sinha of the IGMATEX team puts it, are proud to have announced Ahmedabad as venue for the show. In fact, it is more than our expectations. Many factors led us to success – the venue being the prime and then the support we expected and actually received from none other than the Gujarat Garment Manufacturers Association and other leading trade bodies, said Manoj. Careful selection of machinery/technology manufacturers/suppliers as exhibitors and promotional network built over the months prior to the actual show dates also made us to conclude this show at a successful note, they added.

The products of attraction at the show, as our correspondent noticed while at the venue, primarily were digital printing and sewing solutions, besides CAD/CAM and finishing equipments and labels/tags and other accessories. He could see a stream of visitors at the booths put up by Capital Apparel Technology (representing SunStar brand sewing technology); Vishal SewTech (for sewing, embroidery and cutting machines); Negi Signs (Mutoh brand large format digital printers); Imperial Group (representing brands like Dr. Aykan); Angel India Cad Cam; Bissel Needle; Westland Agencies (India) (all kinds of buttons, snap fastners , interlinings, metal fittings, elastics, tapes etc.); Rajshree Enterprises (labels/tags and bags); and Radhaswami Chemicals (plastisol inks, pigment binder/emulsion, fusing papers, laser transfer papers, heat transfer stickers, caviar beads, sublimation papers, pallet adhesive, hot air guns, etc.); Usmani & Co. (for finishing equipments); Diamond Threads; Mutha Labels (for copper jeans button, alloy jeans buttons, nylon/plastic jeans buttons, jeans rivets, hooks, snaps, zippers, eyelets, buckles, paper tags, plastic tags, seal tags, etc.) and Uniline (for Industrial UPS).
